83.3km 4:00:32 moving time 1,438m ascent and a temp of 36- 42 degreesA short 20km km stroll on the bikes a round the coast to Menton taking in the Palace of the Prince of Monaco on the way and meet the girls - Louise and Agnes for a long lunch.
Followed by a 13km climb to Saint Agnes township perched high on the hill.
Back down a bit and then climbed to the summit of the col Madone (of course made famous by Lance as it was one of his training grounds)
From there it is down and down and down - varying from 1% to 7%.
Fast and flowing - except for that one corner. Phil leading into way to hot with me on his tail . Phil made it around but I had to take a escape route up another road the wrong way and the others - all over the corner and the escape route.
Phil had quite a day actually - waiting to leave - where’s phil.. Waiting at the 3km mark - where’s phil - he had fallen of his bike. Round a round about - where’s phil - going around the wrong way (in front of a police man) There was no doubt at dinner who won the ‘joker’ prize of the day
