Samoens to Saint Gervais

After stops at La Post and a bike shop for air we are off to tackle col de Columbia
The first tough test on the route des grandee alps
It starts easy at 8% through the forest and then levels off through a small villages before climbing again
But it is the last 6kms or so that are interesting. Ramping up a degree in steepness for each to finally finish on 10% for the last km. honest climbing in the fog

Coffee and lunch followed by a descent and then climb through Grand Bornard, St Jean des Sixt and Clusaz -- heading for the col de Aravis. It's realistically easy by comparison and soon enough we are descending down towards Flumet before turning for our destination for the night
It's still 10kms up the valley through Megeve before we descend to our hosted home stay in Saint Gervais
A fine meal follows before retire - perhaps a couple glasses to many
